Real change starts with listening.
Farmers and rural communities know better than anyone what’s working, what’s broken, and what needs urgent attention. Many of the most important issues never make it into the media or onto a politician’s agenda unless people speak up together.
That’s where you come in.
If there’s an issue affecting farmers, rural families, or regional communities that you believe deserves national attention, we invite you to suggest a petition for Stand Up With Farmers to consider.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome petition ideas that are:
- Focused on farmers, rural or regional Australia
- Grounded in real-world experience, not party politics
- Aimed at practical, achievable change
- Relevant to policy, funding, services, infrastructure, or fairness
This could include issues around:
- Healthcare access in rural areas
- Education and distance learning
- Mental health support for farmers
- Biosecurity, water, land use, or environmental regulation
- Emergency services, disaster recovery, or insurance
- Cost pressures, red tape, or regulatory burden
- Telecommunications, roads, transport, or energy access
What Happens Next
Every suggestion is reviewed by our team.
If your idea aligns with our purpose, we will:
- Research the issue
- Assess its impact and relevance
- Determine whether a petition can meaningfully influence decision-makers
- Develop and launch a petition that gives the issue the strongest possible voice
While not every suggestion will become a petition, every submission is read and considered.
Why Your Voice Matters
Many of the issues facing rural Australia persist because they’re fragmented, localised, or easy to ignore. By bringing ideas together and turning them into well-structured petitions, we help ensure rural voices are heard loudly, clearly, and where it counts.
If something isn’t right in rural Australia, this is your place to raise it.
Suggest a petition. Help shape the agenda. Stand up with farmers.
